The Department of War established the CMMC program to strengthen cybersecurity protections for federal contractors and subcontractors that process, store, or transmit Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). CMMC compliance is becoming increasingly critical for organizations supporting DoW programs and national security initiatives.
