Strengthening NATO Partnerships Through Collaboration and Innovation

Published: September 23, 2026

Geospatial Consulting Group International, LLC (geocgi) in support of the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), continues to provide technical leadership and collaboration that strengthens operational readiness and partnership across the Alliance. Recently, geocgi represented JWC GEO Leadership at the NATO Data Managers Meeting (DMM) held at NATO’s Static War Headquarters Castlegate in Linnich, Germany.

The annual meeting brings together operational data managers from across NATO to discuss data requirements, emerging challenges, and opportunities to improve information sharing and interoperability. Serving as JWC’s representative, geocgi provided updates on enhancements to exercise geospatial information (ExGI) deliverables and improvements driven directly by feedback from NATO stakeholders.

As exercise datasets continue to grow in both size and complexity, discussions also focused on approaches for managing large-scale data deliveries and ensuring operational users have access to the information they need. Geocgi shared insights into JWC’s data integration and extract, transform, and load (ETL) capabilities, including innovative efforts to enable spatial visualization of intelligence data an initiative that grew from identifying operational needs and applying data engineering expertise to develop new solutions.

Beyond presenting updates, the meeting provided an important opportunity to engage directly with NATO Allied Command Operations GIS offices, gathering valuable feedback and documenting future requirements. These conversations help ensure that JWC exercise products continue evolving to better support operational planning, training, and decision-making across the Alliance.

Through technical expertise, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement, geocgi’s participation reflects our dedication to supporting NATO missions and strengthening relationships with partners around the world.
