This past March, geocgi staff supporting the Marine Corps Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) GEOFidelis Program launched 
the first GEOFidelis Data Model (GDM) Working Group to develop the next generation enterprise data model for the USMC. Each Working Group meeting will serve to review draft data model design concepts with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and end users across the Marine Corps to ensure that their requirements are met by the GEOFidelis enterprise environment. The Working Group effort will take place over the next year, resulting in a finalized enterprise-wide data model that will function as the authoritative data source for USMC Installation geospatial data in support of MCICOM Enterprise Integration efforts. The USMC model will be interoperable with all DoD component IGI&S Programs as well as the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), and will support USMC installation management, business enterprise integration, and warfighter readiness and training.
